HELLO!
This portfolio is dedicated to my work as a graphic designer in film. When I tell people what I do, many assume I design posters or movie credits. But in reality, a graphic designer in film is part of the Art Department and is responsible for creating set and prop graphics that fit into the world of the film.

It's a niche specialisation within design, but it plays a significant role in the film crew. Designed elements in film appear in many forms — they might be wallpaper or carpet patterns that serve as the background of a scene; a graphic on a T-shirt or a painting on a wall that helps reveal a character’s personality; or a brand identity that reflects the period and theme of the setting. Whatever the element — from a newspaper to a road sign — graphic design in film, first and foremost, supports and enhances the story.

What makes designing for film unique is the need to be precise with details (you never know what might appear in a close-up) while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. The great thing is that it never gets boring — creating historically accurate and specific items requires in-depth research, while fantasy dramas demand creativity and fresh ideas. A solid foundation in design is essential, but every film is different and brings new challenges.
